Cecilia Gonzalez

An exceptional dancer, since 1995, has worked with the most renowned Argentinean dancers of her generation. Her dancing is characterized by her technical precision, the fluidity and elegance of her movements, and a remarkable capacity to improvise. Cecilia Gonzalez effortlessly shares her extensive knowledge and passion with her students. She has given workshops and has been invited to festivals in Europe, North and South America. Cecilia has been teaching in our festivals since the start.

 

Donato Juárez

One of the most talented tango dancers of his generation. From his hometown of Mar del Plata, he has been part of a group of enthusiastic young dancers who have continued to tirelessly explore the intricacies of this dance.  He has studied with many renowned teachers who were quick to notice his impressive technical skills. He has been invited to perform, with Cecilia Gonzalez, in both the 2006 and 2007 International Argentine Tango Congress (CITA).


The Macana Brothers (Enrique & Guillermo de Fazio)

A legendary dance couple.  They have a very busy schedule travelling in Europe and the USA where they have always thrilled their audiences.  As someone wrote: “They are famous worldwide for their breathtaking and witty tango interpretations…. A unique couple bursting of ideas and energy, not only because these are two men doing the tango together… They are playful and comical but with an incredible technical brilliance…In their classes they teach with a lot of fun and empathy and of course with technical perfection.  A pure joy for their students.”

 

Aurora Lubiz & Hugo Daniel

A star amongst Argentinian Tango dancers. She has toured around the world with renowned tango productions and orchestras. She was one of the Artistic Directors of the Tango World Festival. With her new partner, Hugo Daniel, they form a team of excellent teachers and dancers of growing reputation.  Together, they toured several countries giving workshops and special performances.  Both Aurora and Hugo conduct regular classes at the Escuela de Tango Argentino in Buenos Aires.  Aurora’s classes on Ladies Technique at the Escuela is always very popular.  Hugo gives special classes on exercises, dynamics, coordination, using the tango, milonga and canyengue rhythms.  They also give classes together on tango , milonga and vals with their particular style for both salon and stage dancing.


 


Joaquin Abenabar

Teaches Bandoneon at the National University of Buenos Aires, at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Buenos Aires and the Folk Music School of Avellaneda.  He trains tango groups and individual tango musicians on tango interpretation and arrangements.  Joaquin regularly visits several countries in Europe, the USA, Istanbul giving workshops and/or solo concerts with varied repertoire of classical, contemporary and tango music.  Being both a musician and a tango dancer, Joaquin has developed an absolute unique teaching system of tango musicality for tango dancers.
